Piemontese beef tartar. These crazy kids at CoVino are killing it. Two strapping young men making a go of it. The place is 2 months old! Simone at La Mascareta insisted I try this place today for lunch and I was VERY happy he did.
I would eat here over Al Covo everyday of the week. I had lunch at CoVino this afternoon and dinner just now at Al Covo. They are 30 meters from each other and I suspect one or both of them used to work at Al Covo (but I’m guessing) just because some of the menu preps are very similar. Honestly Covino is better. Al Covo was weak as I mentioned in my previous posts. This tartar was pitch perfect.
